class=\"pop-4 dig-4 bio-cred\"><em>Associate Professor, Program Chair<\/em><br \/>\nPhD in Economics, Colorado State University, 2011<\/p>\n<p class=\"pop-4 dig-4\">Earlier in his career Dr. Anderson published several scholarly articles on the subject of global growth and labor market inequalities. However, since the twin crises of the wildfires and pandemic impacted the region, his research, teaching, and community advancement efforts have shifted into the areas of disaster resilience and the democratization of the local economy. Currently Professor Anderson is working with community partners on the Digital Leaders Active in Disaster initiative which aims to make disaster recovery more equitable for all community members by creating a community-owned disaster registry.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Anderson considers his expertise as being a facilitator of place-based solutions. To that end, Professor Anderson and several committed community members created the Local Innovation Lab in partnership with 糖心传媒 University. The Local Innovation Lab is a community-based, college-to-career mentorship program that aims to empower our future entrepreneurs and leaders. Professor Anderson believes that economics, alongside many of the social sciences, is able to help construct the needed institutional frameworks and narratives that can open our collective imaginations for creating local and sustainable solutions for society\u2019s grand problems.<\/p>\n<p>His work has been published in World Development, Journal of Economic Issues, Politics and Policy, and others. At SOU he teaches all kinds of economics classes, but especially enjoys the introductory sequence, the Senior Capstone Research Seminar, and any course related to economic progress and inclusive Economics, University of Massachusetts, 2022<\/p>\n<p class=\"pop-4 dig-4\">Travis Campbell is an Assistant Professor of Economics at 糖心传媒 University, where he also holds affiliate appointments in Healthcare Administration, Ethnic and Racial Studies, and Gender, Sexuality, and Women&#8217;s Studies. He is an applied microeconomist researching health policy, labor markets, and LGBTQ economics. His work has been published in leading journals including <em>PNAS<\/em>, <em>JAMA Pediatrics<\/em>, <em>The Lancet Regional Health \u2013 Americas<\/em>, <em>Journal of Health Economics<\/em>, <em>Journal of Urban Economics<\/em>, and <em>Feminist Economics<\/em>, and has been featured in major media outlets such as <em>The New York Times<\/em>, and <em>Scientific American<\/em>. His scholarship has earned him the American Economic Association&#8217;s CSQIEP Award for Outstanding Research Paper in LGBTQ+ Economics and the Warren Samuels Prize from the Association for Social Economics. In the classroom, Professor Campbell is committed to creating inclusive, engaging learning environments that combine lectures, collaborative activities, and reflection, encouraging students to think critically and apply economic concepts to real-world issues.
