a person majoring in mathematics or in teacher education with a mathematics option.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dig-4 heavy-man\">To receive receive this scholarship, a student:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a full-time student, either undergraduate or graduate, majoring in mathematics or in teacher education with a mathematics option.<\/li>\n<li>Must have successfully completed at least one year of college and show ability in mathematics.<\/li>\n<li>Financial need will be a consideration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Mathematics Faculty Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>This scholarship provides financial assistance for a mathematics major of above average ability in mathematics who has demonstrated financial need.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dig-4 heavy-man\">To receive receive this scholarship, a student:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have contributed to the vitality of the mathematics department and\/or the university in a meaningful way.<\/li>\n<li>Preference given to those that show promise of making a real contribution to mathematics or mathematics education.<\/li>\n<li>Must have completed the three quarter calculus sequence, or have completed three of the following five courses: 251, 252, 253, 261, or 281 to be eligible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Harry S.
